The DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM is a wireless sensor spear designed for grain monitoring to prevent damage to crops. The grain sensor closely monitors the temperature and humidity of the stored plants. It is portable and therefore can be easily moved to where it is needed.Sensor data is displayed on the AgroLog app smartphone. App notifications when critical thresholds are reached. Hourly data update, manual measurements possible at any time if necessary.Replaceable 3.6 V lithium battery in the sensor rod with a lifespan of over 2 years.Advantages
Accurate measurement of temperature and humidity
Wireless, movable
Notifications for critical thresholds
Works with multiple crops
Waterproof
No calibration required
Up to a third of the world's harvest is lost in storageAccording to a study in the special issue of Sustainability in Food Consumption and Food Security, a third of the world's harvest is lost in storage, largely due to temperature and humidity. To ensure that the harvest does not spoil and the yield does not shrink, it is important to closely monitor the temperature when storing crops. A constant temperature of 5 °C is ideal, as the risk of insect infestation and rot is significantly reduced. The reproduction and activity of insects is effectively prevented by low temperatures in the grain storage. To ensure that grain does not spoil or lose quality due to fungal attack, moisture must also be monitored closely. Two humidity and three temperature sensors on the wireless sensor wand ensure a complete and accurate condition report.Receive alerts for critical thresholdsThe wireless DOL grain sensor CSS-TM is equipped with a SIM card and is 100% wireless. The sensor also works without a gateway or separate connection near the barn. Thanks to the wireless sensor rod, data display is not only possible up close. You can check the condition of crops on the go.The sensor wand is connected to the AgroLog app, allowing access to recorded data on the smartphone. The app's many functions allow you to check the current status and historical data. Humidity or temperature fluctuations are reported. You can set thresholds in the app and will be notified when they are reached. This means you can always keep an eye on the condition of your crops.Suitable for multiple cropsThe versatile grain sensor is extremely useful for growers and farm managers. It provides insights and data to optimally control the health of a variety of different crops. Whether barley, wheat or other types of grain, corn, potatoes, various beans - the grain sensor provides real-time information about temperature and humidity from the storage. You can now manage your harvested crops based on data.User-friendlyThe sensor is delivered calibrated. The measurements are extremely accurate and the user interface is easy to understand, making it easy to use even without prior technical knowledge. The wand is wireless and therefore easy to move, no calibration is required.
Grid power supply for "Reporter"

FAQ Are there alternative charging options?
A solar panel is an alternative option to charge your Reporter when grid power is not available in your location. You can also charge through DIN rail. Read more about how Reporter is powered.
Is this grid power supply included with every Reporter?
No, the power charger has to be purchased separately from the Reporter sensor module.
Do I still need a power charger if I own a solar panel?
Yes, it is recommended to purchase a grid power supply option to allow you to manually charge your Reporter in case of extreme and prolonged periods of low light conditions.
Reporter DIN rail power supply

Sensor compatibility made easy
We designed Reporter to make your remote monitoring projects easy and plug & play, but not all sensors can directly be plugged into our sensor device. An extra step is needed, a module that can translate the raw measurement data into something Reporter can easily understand.
This interpretive module is our Sensor Adapter.
We speak your sensor's language
Different sensors communicate to the data logger (Reporter) in different languages, which is why you need to use the right Sensor Adapter to make sure data is interpreted correctly. When you buy a sensor from our shop we send you the right adapter to ensure smooth data transmission.
If you want to connect your own sensor to one of our adapters you can check what kind of data output it comes with and what Sensor Adapter fits its language.

Solar panel for "Reporter"
€99.00*
Product info
Power your Reporter by the sun! Every Crodeon Reporter has solar charging technology built-in. This small and sturdy solar panel is all you need to keep your Reporter's battery charged when there's no grid power available.
This 10W monocristalline solar panel by Sunstore (UK) is equipped with a PUR cable of 2m length and a die-cast zinc M12 connector for plug and play compatibility with any Crodeon Reporter. The panel comes equipped with aluminum mounting brackets for easy installation.
Installation
The solar panel can be installed in different ways. Installation at an angle of 45° is better, but not mandatory. Two hours of sun a day is generally sufficient to maintain the battery level of your Reporter. The Reporter has been developed to use electricity as economically as possible.
The measurement interval you set does have an impact on the power consumption. At 30 seconds, the Reporter will consume more power than at an interval of 10 minutes. The number of connected sensors also has an impact on the power consumption. If your Reporter is not getting enough power, you may want to consider a different solar panel placement.
You can monitor the battery level via the Crodeon Dashboard. If the Reporter switches itself off due to an empty battery, this will be reported by SMS.
